Blue Mountains City Council is looking for a Community Development Officer
Blue Mountains City Council is seeking a committed and experienced Community Development Officer to provide specialist expertise, strategic input and advocacy on behalf of Council on issues relating to improving the quality of life for children and families. The position holder will assess local needs and facilitate the development of targeted services and facilities for children and families. Primarily this role will also lead and maintain positive group functioning and engagement within the Stronger Families Alliance, whilst coordinating with other networks focused on children, young people and families.
A relevant degree qualification appropriate for the positions accountabilities, together with extensive experience working with children and families
Council is also seeking highly developed project management skills, needs assessment and analytical research skills, and the ability to develop, evaluate and prioritise programs, projects and policies.
We are also seeking highly developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills and demonstrated experiences in large and small group facilitation methods.
